Supplemental Insurance for individuals and small groups in Florida:
the affordable way to lower your health insurance deductible.

If you need supplemental health insurance to enhance your current coverage for hospitalization, physician visits, surgeries, our Supplemental Health Insurance may be just what you're looking for. Escalating deductibles, out-of-network charges and other expenses not picked up by your major medical coverage are facts of life. Companies like AFLAC have become prevalent in the health insurance market for very good reasons: they provide an attractive alternative to getting a lower deductible health insurance plan. Due to their size they can offer very affordable premiums (with no annual rate increases) on their Supplemental Plans to offset out-of-pocket expenses and lost-income when an illness or injury sidelines you from work. There are no networks and you are paid directly.

How Does a Supplemental Health Insurance Plan like AFLAC Work?
Supplemental insurance, such as what AFLAC offers, pays a cash benefit to the insured. The amount of cash and how it is paid out depends on the supplemental health insurance plan or policy. Some popular supplemental health insurance policies are specific disease insurance specifically cancer insurance accidental death and dismemberment insurance or accident health insurance, and hospital indemnity insurance.

First, Obtain a Good Florida health insurance policy
. A good health insurance policy will pay for your health insurance bills but does not out-of-pocket expenses such as deductibles, co-pays and daily living expenses while you are recovering. Also health insurance does not pay for the experimental procedures often encountered with the treatment of cancer for example. Not to mention if you go out of network deductibles can double. Supplemental health insurance pays you directly and can be used whatever expenses you may have.

What to Consider when Choosing Supplemental Health Insurance

Only you can decide if a supplemental health insurance plan is right for you. Some things to consider when deciding if you need a supplemental health insurance plan are your health risk factors, your savings, and how much insurance you can afford. Of course no one can predict what their health will be in the future, but if you have always been in good health and take good care of yourself then you would be less likely to use a supplemental health insurance policy than someone who is often in bad health. Also, your savings should play an important role in your decision to purchase a supplemental health insurance policy. If you were in the hospital for a few weeks or more, would you have enough to cover your other expenses that your insurance would not?

We also offer supplemental Accident, Cancer Insurance, Maternity, Heart Disease and Daily Hospitalization Cash Benefit Indemnity Plans paid directly to you. Just contact us for more information.
